The Cave of Zindan

The Zindan Cave is situated 25 km east of Egirdir.
It was formed during the third geological period. There are stalactites
and stalagmites inside the Zindan cave.
The cave was an open air temple dedicated to Eurymedan (Koprucay), during
the late Roman and early Byzantine times this place was used as a shelter
and a temple. The Eurymedon statue is in Isparta Museum.
The cave is 850m long. There is a bridge which connects the area to
a grave yard. There is also a "Eurymedan relief" and key stone
on the bridge.
