The best beaches are out of the Egirdir centre. The following beaches have
facilities such as changing cabins and food stands or restaurants.
Yesilada has no real beaches to speak of, though there’s nothing to stop
you swimming anywhere around Yesilada, you can clamber down the rocky
shore and swim wherever you like for free. Belediye Plaji is less than 1
km from the centre on the Isparta road in the district called Yazla.
Altinkum Plaji is several km further north, near the train station.
Entry costs $0,30. Even further north (about 11 km.) on the road to
Barla is Bedre Plaji, perhaps the best of all – 1,5 km of sand and water
and adequate facilities.
Altinkum Beach
: (Golden Sand Beach)
Just below the train station lies this golden sandy beach on a calm
lake. It is only 3 kms from the center of the town. Even 200 meters out,
the water is never higher than your shoulder level. The beach has
changing cabins, showers, a buffet, telephone, electricity, cafe, and a
camp for 50 tents. There is also an enclosed area for those who wish to
sunbathe. That beach has got the Blue Flag!! There is also an enclosed
area for those who wish to take sand baths.
Public Beach
:
Just 750 meters from the center of the town in the Yazla district is a
fine beach. There are cabins to change in, WCs and showers.
Bedre Beach
:
11 kms along the road to Barla there is a 1500m long beach which has good
accommodation and is a fine place to relax. There are changing cabins, a
restaurant, public kitchens and a camp.
