A FISHERMAN’S LIFE
Besides apples and tourism, Egirdir is a big fishing village –
bass, trout and carp (not indigenous) and one species of fish indigenous
to the lake. Freshwater crayfish is another big product, though mostly
for export. Fishing is done with nets, and the season is short.
Experience first-hand the life of a fisherman here in Egirdir! You can
either leave early in the morning with Fisherman, when he pulls in the
morning catch, or you can go out in the late afternoon when he puts
out the nets. EVERYTHING is done by hand, so the work is done either
early or late in the day to avoid the heat…
Besides experiencing a moment of how net fishing has been done for ages,
you can enjoy the tranquility of the lake, and take in either a beautiful
sunrise or sunset. And of course, there is nothing more beautiful than
fresh fish pulled in, water and sunlight glistening on the skin…..
For price please contact.

OPTION 2:

perspective of Lake Egirdir and and her shores.

Bedre before returning to Egirdir.

We’ll leave shortly after breakfast, with a short rest to jump
into the lake and swim. We’ll then stop at a quiet place for a
picnic BBQ – bulgur salata, patlican salata, fish and watermelon.
After a relaxing lunch, we’ll head towards Barla and Bedre, stopping
at some beautiful beaches for more sunning and relaxing. Then we’ll
return home – sunned, windblown, tummy filled and totally relaxed!!!
What better way to spend a relaxing day in Egirdir?
DEPARTURE TIME: 10am and return approximately 7 hours later. For price
please contact.
Mini-Boat Excursions
Do you want to try out some of the other beaches Egirdir has to offer? Combine a day at the beach with a short boat trip!! We’ll take you from the harbour to the beach of your choice, and you catch a dolmus when you are ready to come back.
eparture Time: 11:00 am. For price please contact
Option 1 – to Mustafa’s secluded cove
The beach is across the lake from Lale. It is small and secluded with
a pebble beach. The swimming is wonderful, and you can do some scrambling
in the hills behind. A perfect place to relax as you will be the only
ones there!! (There is no dolmus, so we will have to arrange a pick
up time…^__^)
Option 2 – to Altinkum Beach
This is a very popular (but not overly crowded) beach with Egirdir residents.
It has a beautiful sandy beach, with a restaurant, WC’s and changing
facilities. You can rent paddle boats here, swim in the pebble free
waters or simply relax on the shore.
Option 3 – to Bedre Beach
Similar to Altinkum Beach, but with fewer people as it is a bit further
out of town. Definitely a gorgeous beach to spend the day at!!!

not ready to
call it a day. Why not take an evening boat tour? Relaxing, peaceful,

a secluded beach. Let the cool lake air refresh your spirits. At the

so refreshing!!!
We promise that you will have an excellent night’s sleep when
